Tidal Wave Student Ministries is the student ministry at River of Life Church in Doylestown, PA. It’s designed specifically for youth (ages 12-18) to develop a relationship with the God who created them and learn about the life that He has designed for them. We believe it’s far less important about where you are than it is where you’re going, so we don’t expect anyone to be perfect. We’re all just broken people who are seeking healing.

Through creativity, illustration, drama, and group discussion we tackle the issues that matter most in the lives of this generation. This happens every week on Wednesdays from 7-8:15pm. You don’t want to miss it! Also, we have events from time to time that are true memory-makers and a great way to build the kind of family environment we’re so glad to have at Tidal Wave. Pastor Jon

Jonathan Brooker has been serving as the Student Ministries Pastor at River of Life Church for almost the entire 3+ years it has existed. His call to youth ministry happened when he was just a young student at the age of 12, and he has dedicated his life to that call ever since. He is a graduate of Valley Forge Christian College (2007) with a degree in youth ministry.

His heart for God, passion for youth, and love for creativity allow him to communicate major life truths in an understandable and applicable fashion. He’s completely discontented with “youth group as usual” but instead strives to build a family atmosphere where lives are being transformed into the image of Christ and students are being developed into leaders in their schools, families, community, and the world.

Jim

Jim is husband and father of four children and has been serving the church in many ways over his half-century+ long life. Helping in youth ministries has always been a part of his calling. A graduate of Penn State, his career has been in Information Technology in pharmaceutical and manufacturing companies. While relaxing, Jim likes to bicycle, fish, garden and collect model trains.

Bonnie

Bonnie not only has four amazing children of her own, but has also been a Kindergarten teacher for the past ten years! So she gets to be a “kid” all day and just loves hanging out with kids of all ages and sizes. She enjoys being surrounded by flowers and gardens, though she doesn’t like the weeds.

Jonathan

Jonathan works as a registered nurse and has two beautiful children. When he’s not working he enjoys snowboarding, video games, cars, motorcycles, going to the gym, and spending time with his family. He also loves watching movies and listening to music, and plays the saxophone in our church’s Sunday morning service.

Ashley

Ashley is a high school social studies teacher at Lakeside School. She loves everything Disney with a pretty big passion. But she also likes other movies and books, too. And, of course, she really enjoys spending time with her friends and family.

Rob

Rob is the owner of Ambler Industries, LLC which is a landscaping and construction company. He is a big Philadelphia sports fan — especially the Phillies and Eagles. He also enjoys participating in a little athleticism every once in a while, too, and has coached high school basketball in the past.

Lindsay

Lindsay is a registered nurse working for the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She loves to sing and write music. Generally speaking, music is one of the huge passions of her life. God, her first passion, has been doing amazing things in her life that she’s excited to use to help those who are hurting and in need of love and compassion.
